Bigger Announcement on Exam Live Updates: After CBSE, ICSE Cancels Class 12 Board Exams

Class 12th  Boards  Updates 2021.
The central government on Tuesday cancelled the CBSE Class 12 examinations 2021 in view of covid situation. The decision has ended months of uncertainty for around 1.2 million students who were to appear in the exams.

CBSE Class 12 board exam 2021 Live Updates: CBSE class 12 exam and ICSE class 12 exams have been cancelled. The decision was taken after a key meeting chaired by PM Modi.

CBSE Class-12 Board exams were scheduled to begin from 4 May, which were later deferred till further notice.

In April, CBSE had announced the cancellation of Class-10 exams and postponed the Class-12 Board examinations due to the surge in COVID-19 cases across India.

CBSE had proposed two options on the methodology, process, duration, and timings.

The first entails examination for “major subjects” to be conducted at the “designated examination centres and in the existing format”, with marks “calculated as per the assessment scheme based on the performance in the major subjects” in the minor subjects.

The second involves conducting exams at schools where students are enrolled, reducing the duration of exams, and switching to only multiple choice and short answer-type questions. While most states preferred the second option.

Maharashtra was in favour of a non-exam route for assessing class 12 students.

Varsha Gaikwad said, “Health and mental well-being of children, their families must be our priority.

Further, the exams will be held under strict precautions. Social distancing will be followed while making students sit for the exams. Also, In 2020 the CBSE board exams were held amid precautions, however, the exams had to be canceled mid – way.

While parents and students had raised concerns that regarding the health and the worry of the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said, “Both students’ and teachers’ safety, security, and future are supremely important to us.”

Similarly, the concern for students has now increased much due to the third wave of covid-19. Parents are not sure of vaccinating their children, some are worrying about third wave as it is rumoured to be fatal for childrens.

The updates announced by the government is or is not in favour of most students.
